the first two flower studies were done for drawing 2. The one is black and white ink with black water color. the second is pencil and water color.
Following those is a perspective study. We had to make a hallway with 5 boxes inside the picture plane. see if you can find them. It is also ink and black water color.

This is a sample of the P:A:S critique model I hope current AP Art and Art III students will use to send your comments....P:PRAISE....A:ASK a question....S: SUGGEST: a change if the work was yours to improve ..."You can really see the connection between your work in high school for the AP class and the assignments in college...For example, your interest in chiaroscuro - or dramatic use of light and shade that was present in the eggs series comes through in the still life drawings from the studio AND in your perspective drawing of the boxes....also - you still use a number of surrealist devices - like JUXTAPOSITION - to attract the viewer's attention...do you remember the list of terms you made from the Scholastic Art magazine articles on Diego Rivera and Frida Khalo? I would like suggest that we make an alumni link to your blog to the master blog I use for the current AP class so they can practice their critque skills in the comment areas of the 2008 postings....."
Hey, Patrick. It's me, Z. I heard just now that you were attending SCAD. That's very interesting because I have applied for SCAD and if I am accepted, I plan to go there - I here they have a top notch sequential art school. Who knows, I might run into you in the hallway. Anyway, about your work, I really appreciate your imagination. I really appreciate your detail. Detail is always good. Of course, keep up the good work.
