self portrait, oil pastels

This is a picture of a water bottle, sunglasses, a seashell and a little crab inside his hole. I used a stipple method to create value and contrast. Its a mixed media that consists of ink and black pencil.

In this piece, I used colored pencil and pen. Im not sure what the exact narrative is of this picture, but when I was drawing it, I found that I accidentally created this face inside the bark. and then by using a unique angle I found this strange but interestingly surreal picture

The first is an acrylic painting of Biggie Smalls. It was a homework assignment for my 2D design class, the second I did out of enjoyment, its of a bridge that is connected to my dorm room. I used pastels

a lot of my breadth consists of nature scenery. I enjoy painting landscapes such as winter and fall seasons. I used oils for the first winterscape, and the following two landscapes I used acrylic paints. The final one is a drawing of a tree using pen and colored pencil.

Breadth

the first picture is a part of my concentration. Titled, "Soccer Spore" it reflects the dream world I like to create. I used pencil, and colored pencil. the second work is unfinished, but could potentially be a part of my concentration depending on where I take it. It's done with pen and some colored pencil. the third work is a breadth piece that shows depth and perception.

Area Of Concentration

My concentration consists of black and white media. I create a surreal world that collides with our everyday world, it produces many interesting views and dimensions. M.C. Escher and Salvador Dali are two of my jamor influences, beacuse Eshcer incorporates the outrageous views and dimensions, but Dali's work represents the uncounsious dream-like world that I desire to create. I usually work from my imagination, but alot of my work does come from still life that I distort when I put it on the page.

Updated Area Of Concentration

My concentration consists of black and white media. I create a surreal world that collides with our normal world, it creates many interesting views and dimensions. M.C. Escher and Salvador Dali are two of my major influences, because Escher has the outrageous views and dimensions, but Dali posses the surreal world that I desire to create. I usually work from my imagination, but a lot of my work does come from still life that I distort when I put it on the page.

Artist Refrences

There are many different artists that have inspired me. Bob Ross was the first with his landscapes, but for my area of concentration my inspiration came from M.C. Escher, Salvador Dali, Colleen Gjefle, and Frida Kahlo.

All are done in black and white drawn with pencil. "Repkai" "Atlas" "Nova" "no title" (from top to bottom)

A lot of my refrence comes from MC Escher and Dali. Their real life but dream like pictures always facinated me. Escher's patterns were also very intriguing to me as well.

Landscapes were my first real paintings. I've always loved landscapes using very eloborate and vibrant colors to execute the beauty of nature. Fauve isn't apart of my concentration but the triadic color system is one that I like to use for my breadth.

AoC

My concentration consists of using still life, which is transformed into a surreal, MC Escher style with black and white media or color wash painted or drawn pencil.
